Authentic 3-1 Jade Gua Sha Tool
Hand designed by by Dr. Lily Choi
*One of the most ancient healing modalities, gua sha can dissolve tension, aches, and pains, prevent chronic disease, invigorate proper organ function, increase immunity, provide lymphatic drainage, boost circulation, improve metabolism, and move Blood and Qi through meridian channels.
I have sourced the classically used 和田玉, Hetian jade for my very own gua sha tool. The tool itself is very fundamental in the actual process and can offer many benefits. It is important to know the quality and source of the tool being used, that’s why I made my own. The tool emits its properties onto the skin, which are then absorbed by the body. My gua sha tool is hand carved by a skillful jade artist. Each tool can vary slightly in shape and color because they are handcrafted.
Hetian jade, 和田玉, provides maximum benefits through specific microminerals and nutrients. This mineral nourishes all organs, both the zàng (脏) and fǔ (腑) organs. The term zàng refers to the organs considered to be Yin in nature: Heart, Liver, Spleen, Lung, Kidney— while fǔ refers to the Yang organs: Small Intestine, Large Intestine, Gall Bladder, Urinary Bladder, Stomach and Sānjiaō. It’s neutral in temperature, meaning it’s not too hot and not too cold, making it suitable for everyone.
Jade conducts better energy than other materials and it's pure. This type of jade also retains heat more than others. That is why it is so loved in TCM, it acts like an electric current, stimulating the skin, the lymph, and entire organ system.
Gua sha gently stretches the skin and tissue and creates a bit of friction, or Heat, to promote Blood, Qi, and fluid circulation. It provides powerful sculpting and lymphatic drainage.
Each groove is designed for different parts of the body and face for ultimate contact. This helps create the most tension relief, contour, shaping, and proper drainage.
