*Though candida cells make up the normal flora in our bodies, overgrowth of these cells cause hundreds of discomforts. Directions:
For those with Liver Yang rising symptoms like anger, stress, constipation, cold sores, headaches: use 3 drops twice a day before meals or in between meals, work your way up to 5 drops then to 1/2 dropper twice daily until symptoms dissipate, alternating 5-10 days on and then 5-10 days off.

Each 5 day period should overlap with the Full Moon and then New Moon. Each month contains one Full Moon and one New Moon.
Full Moon: begin 4 nights before the Full Moon and take for a total of 5 nights.
New Moon: start the night of the New Moon and take for 5 nights.
Begin with 3 drops, see how you feel the next day. Work up to 5 drops see how you feel the next day. Work up to ½ dropper at your own pace. Take before bed.
For those not wanting to consume alcohol, place drops on a teaspoon or into ½ oz warm liquid (tea or water) for 5-10 min to evaporate the alcohol before consuming.
For children or if you’re nursing use 2-3 drops for 3 days a week, evaporating the alcohol before use.
Certain Chinese herbs like the ones used in this formula, have the ability to inhibit the growth of fungi. A study was done [1] to screen the extracts of 56 widely used dried Chinese medical plants or their parts (TCD) for their anti-fungal properties against these types of candida: pathological phyla of Aspergillus fumigatus, Candida albicans, Geotrichum candidum and Rhodotorula rubra.
Shu Du Huang 地黃 (Rheum palmatum) resulted in having the highest activity against Aspergillus fumigatus. This fungus is found throughout the environment, including in soil, plant matter, and household dust and produces airborne spores called conidia. Most people can inhale many of these spores on a daily basis.
Huang Qin 黃金 (Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi radix) showed the highest activity against Candida albicans, which is the most common cause of genital yeast infections.

Ingredients:
Long Dan Cao: drains Shi Heat from the Liver and Gallbladder, drains Liver fire and eliminates damp-heat from Lower Jiao.

Mu tong: promotes urination

Chai Hu: disperses Heat due to Liver and Gallbladder Qi stagnation and focuses the actions of the formula on Liver and Gallbladder.
Sheng Di Huang: nourishes Yin and clears Heat.
Dang Gui Wei: nourishes Blood without causing stasis.
Gan Cao: harmonizes the Middle Jiao and regulates other herbs.
Huo Sheng Jni: dispels wind, cold and dampness and relieves obstruction. Supplements Qi and Blood, tonifies the Liver and Kidney.
